When you hear your favorite song did you ever wonder where that music genre came from? I know most of you will say from the guy who wrote the song, well thats not exactly true. Some music started off from rock n' roll and evolved into R&B or Pop. This is what my Music feature story will about, the evolution of R&B and Pop music. I will tell you who were the biggest artist when the music first came around and how it influenced artist today.

My feature story

The feature story that I am doing is based on teen driving fatalities. Many teens die from reckless driving each year and people suffer the loss of loved ones. I am writing this story to show the students what can happen with reckless driving.

Direct Quotes

Direct Quote from Josh Loften on Fighting. Josh says "I love fighting for fun, but not with someone I don't like."

Direct Quote from Tania Vasquez on Household Chores. Tania says "Chores are sometimes fun but they are hard to do."

Direct Quote form Brandii Smth on School Uniforms. Brandii says "I think its appropiate for elementary students to have uniforms more than Middle School and High School."

Story of Me

This is Anissa Zapata. She has friends but not a whole lot. She is always there for her friends when they need her. Anissa doesn’t have a lot of friends because she gets judged on her outer appearance and personality.
This first thing you notice about Anissa is her body type and her dark clothing. Some people think that somebody who wears dark black clothing is a loner or and emo person, Anissa does like to be alone sometimes but she is not a loner or emo.
Anissa a big girl with long brown hair dyed black, brown eyes and glasses who likes to be loud and crazy and live the day to its fullest. She knows her friends get annoyed by her loud mouth and crazy antics, but they learn to get used to it.  Anissa doesn’t care what people think about her (sometimes) because she knows that is just who she is.
There is one thing that does bug Anissa at times. Anissa’s closest and pretty cousin Jasper. Jasper is the skinny one out of the two and the one who gets the boys. Anissa doesn’t really care for this because some of the boys she dates are losers.  There are times though when there is someone Anissa likes but they like Jasper or prefer her instead. Anissa just forgets about it because she knows that there is somebody out there for her.
When people see how Anissa acts with her friends they think she is annoying and childish. Anissa has too much fun with her friends so her laugh is loud and she tends to go a little over board. Not a lot of people see that she is fun to be around so they choose not to acknowledge her. Anissa just wishes that she wasn’t judged a lot so people would get to know her.
However if people choose not to talk to Anissa she is not going to waste anytime time on it because it is their choice and not hers. She is independent and does not need anybody to tell her she is a cool person and fun to hang around because she has confidence in herself and knows that she is the best.

Journal Week 5

9.7 with a holiday weekend this week Jon spent it on his computer and did not sleep for two days. Jon says he also helped his brother make a flash drive game and spent monday sleeping all day.

"I felt that since we have a extra day off from school I might as well catch up on some sleep before I have to start wakeing up early again." Jon said

9.9 Finding a direct quote while listening to an interview can be a little challengeing. While listening to an interview with Ice-T he had said "Its better for kids to stay in school and learn instead of being out on the streets."

What I think he was saying was "School gives you the ability to do something with your life, the streets are just the block to your goal."
